Examples include automating administrative tasks, scheduling appointments, or using AI assistants to help employees with everyday questions. But successful implementation requires more than just good technology. Employees need to know how to use AI, organizations must create the right conditions, and solutions must align with daily practice.AI@WORK is a developing Learning Community in which small and medium-sized businesses, healthcare organizations, and knowledge institutions collaborate to address these challenges. Participants bring their own practical challenges and explore how existing AI solutions can be better applied, implemented, and scaled up.
From AI technology to successful application in healthcare
Within AI@WORK, companies, healthcare professionals, students, educators, and researchers collaborate on practical cases lasting six to nine months. The focus is not on developing new AI technology, but on how to deploy existing applications responsibly and effectively within a healthcare organization.By working together on concrete challenges, employees increase their AI literacy—the knowledge and skills needed to understand, critically evaluate, and responsibly apply AI. The insights gained also help companies better align their products, services, and implementation approaches with real-world healthcare practices.
For which companies is AI@WORK relevant?
AI@WORK is aimed at healthcare organizations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to implement AI or make existing AI solutions more applicable within the healthcare sector. The program is particularly relevant for:

Healthcare organizations that want to explore how AI can improve administrative and organizational processes.

AI and technology companies that develop or offer solutions for the healthcare sector.

Healthcare technology suppliers who want to better align their products with the needs of healthcare professionals.

Consulting and implementation firms that assist healthcare organizations with the adoption and use of AI.

You don’t need to be an AI specialist.
