<p><strong>Source: Radboud University</strong></p><p>SCIANCE plays a central role in the development of <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_25_2578">Resource for AI Science in Europe (RAISE)</a>, a new European institute designed to accelerate the use of AI in science. The project brings together organizations in five pilot areas: fundamental physics and astronomy, materials science, life sciences, earth sciences, and social sciences and humanities.</p><h1>Expected Results</h1><p>SCIANCE will identify priorities for research and innovation in the field of AI in science and test the structure of the RAISE secretariat. The project is expected to yield several key results, including a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for AI in science, an implementation roadmap for infrastructure upgrades, and the RAISE Secretariat for AI in science.
