With the help of data science and AI, new smart services can be developed that offer solutions to current societal challenges. At the University of Twente, multiple research groups conduct studies on both the fundamental aspects of artificial intelligence, such as machine learning and the development and application of AI in areas such as healthcare, safety and security, the geo-spatial domain and production, to name a few. Central connecting themes are embedded and augmented AI.
