AiNed gives a strong boost to SMEs for the development and application of AI

One of the main goals of the AiNed program is to strengthen the position of SMEs in the development and application of AI. Part of this support is provided through a specific AiNed MIT-AI scheme implemented by RVO. In this call, a total of 57 proposals were submitted in 2024, of which 14 were awarded a total subsidy budget of €3,550,000. This gives a significant boost to AI projects for and by SMEs.

High-Quality Proposals

The AiNed program board thanks all participants for submitting proposals. The goal of this MIT-AI scheme is to stimulate AI innovation in the Netherlands and accelerate the application of newly developed AI technology. The quality of the submitted AI projects this year is a significant indication that innovative SMEs in the Netherlands are working hard on the development and application of AI.

Overview of Awarded Projects

The AiNed program board warmly congratulates the 14 selected projects and looks forward to the results and their contributions to the development and application of AI in the Netherlands. AI applications directly contribute to economic prosperity, social welfare, and addressing major societal challenges. SMEs, including many startups, play a crucial economic and innovative role in this.
