Launch of AiNed InnovationLabs Call 2024: A Call to SMEs to Collaborate on Impactful, Directly Applicable AI Solutions

With the AiNed InnovationLabs 2024 Call for Proposals, AiNed invites innovative Dutch SMEs, startups, and scale-ups to collaborate with relevant large companies, knowledge institutions, and societal organizations to develop AI methods and tools. The aim is to strengthen the Dutch competitive position and contribute to a sustainable future. Approximately €21 million has been allocated for this call.

Objective of AiNed InnovationLabs
The goal of InnovationLabs is to rapidly advance AI knowledge from a basic level to technology validation and demonstration in specific applications. AiNed InnovationLabs bring together AI knowledge and experience from knowledge institutions and (deep) tech companies to create concrete and usable AI techniques, models, tools, and prototypes that meet clear needs of participating companies.

Who Can Apply
The AiNed InnovationLabs call 2024 focuses on four specific application areas: (1) energy and sustainability, (2) health and care, (3) mobility, transport, and logistics, and (4) technical industry. This offers a wide range of opportunities for companies in these sectors to participate in innovative projects. The labs are open to various parties, including innovative SMEs, startups, and scale-ups, in collaboration with relevant larger companies, knowledge institutions, and societal organizations.

Broad Mission
The intended impact of AiNed InnovationLabs aligns seamlessly with the broader mission of the National Growth Fund AiNed program to position the Netherlands as a leading player in responsible AI development and application. By investing in research, innovation, and transition to develop AI-driven solutions that enable positive change, the goal is to build a sustainable and prosperous future with AI.
